Skye Holiday Home - Tigh Dubh

A TRADITIONAL STONE COTTAGE FOR 4

“Tigh Dubh Skye Holiday Home has to be one of the cosiest and most magical places we have ever stayed - we will never forget it” - Max & Sarah

“Tigh Dubh is the most perfect resting place on the Isle of Skye! The fireplace was an extra treat to warm ourselves after exploring in the wild.” - Michael & Adrienne

Tigh Dubh – Black House in Gaelic – was the traditional vernacular building in the Highlands. This former livestock steading was used for sheep and cattle.  The cow stalls have been replaced with a hand built box bed using spalted sycamore. The kitchen includes crockery from  Edinbane pottery.

The cottage sleeps 4 – a ground floor double and 2 singles on a mezzanine sleeping platform (not recommended for toddlers) . The open plan living dining area includes high quality furnishings and artwork from local artists. The kitchen, shower room and toilet both access off the main living area. Background heating from storage heaters ensures a cosy snug retreat after a day on the hills with extra warmth from a crackling wood burning stove. The kitchen is fully equipped (Induction hob/ combination microwave/ comprehensive range of cooking utensils and crockery).
