Keeping You Safe

We are delighted to welcome visitors back to Skye, our croft and self catering cottages in Edinbane but we want the experience to be as safe as possible for you, our friends and neighbours and for the wider Skye community. We have completed appropriate online training for deep cleaning in the current circumstance and are certified under the Scottish and UK industry kite mark “we’re good to go” – details can be found at here.

As part of the booking process we will request names and addresses of all guests in order that we can hold appropriate information in the event of a track and trace exercise being required.

The operations and protocols that we have put in place are to ensure that your visit is a safe as possible, these are based on industry protocols agreed with between industry bodies such as the Association of Scottish Self Caterers (ASSC), VisitScotland and the Scottish Government.

We have carried out an appropriate risk assessment following the guidelines referred to above and developed an enhanced cleaning plan based on 3 phases – pre clean, clean and sanitise.

Our cottages are deep cleaned between visits, and disinfected with virucidal spray using a fogger, thus limiting chances of transferring transmission between surfaces. We are using appropriate EN number cleaning products.

We would ask you to wear indoor shoes/slippers in the properties.

While we will minimise the contact between ourselves and guests, we will be on hand to answer queries, provide advice on where to go, what to see during your time on Skye.

We would ask guests on leaving the cottages to ensure that windows are left open, beds are stripped and all bed linen and towels placed in the laundry bags provided.

We wish you a pleasant stay and look forward to welcoming you at Edinbane-Self-Catering

Check in time will be 4:30 pm on arrival and check out time 10 am on the day of departure.
